If you're wondering about the title, it's because when I told Phil I was going to this Quaker retreat, he asked me, "So, do ya ever call 'em Amish, just to make 'em mad?" But, anyway:
I went on a Quaker retreat thing this weekend, near Santa Cruz. It was very fun, and I got along well with the two other girls there, Zoe and Carolyn. Played on a fun swing, went on a hike next to a nice creek, played cards, ate good food, and just generally relaxed.
They have this one building up in the middle of the woods, fairly big, carpeted, with a nice fireplace. It stays warm inside, and its full of millions of pillows, all from different sofas or beds. George and Carolyn and I slept up there last night, with Marie, his oldest sister.
It was fun, but I missed blogging in an odd way. I don't usually miss a day, but I went for about 2 or 3 without doing it once. It was an odd hole in my life.
It's my half birthday today! Hooray! And, there's an all new Arrested Development tonight, which I am looking forward to. The suspense is killing me...
