For those of you who can see the entry title, (or is it just me?) the line is from a song, I'm not so drugged I think it's Sunday. But I am glad it's raining again. All the hot weather was weird for living here, I just couldn't deal with it. I'm too white for shorts but I had no choice.
So now that I'm going to CSH, my grandma can't stop comparing me to David. It's killing me, really. "Blah blah top of his class blah blah famous chemist blah blah darling David blah you're intellegent Nicole but you don't seem to care blah blah blah cried if he got an A-..." I don't want to be compared to him, and it's the very last thing on my list of priorities to become top of the class, along with getting stung (or is it bitten?) by a scorpion. Once that happens, it becomes this big deal when you're not anymore. One person gets ahead of you, and you're the talk of the school. I am perfectly content to be mediocre and as inconspicuous as possible, as long as I have friends and Letterman.
So yes, David is driven and meticulous to the point of insanity. And yes, it "serves him well in life." But no, I couldn't care less! I'll work hard, but forget about an all A report card, because I'm just not smart enough for that.
